Each player plays a character within an imaginary world created and presented by the Referee.
Fantasy archetypes and tropes set the foundation for the mechanics and content. Example setting describes an iron age culture, dangerously unreliable magic, and a diverse humanity to play, ranging from pygmies to ogres, from the mundane to the cursed.
Classless Characters
Levels of ability in four Talents - COMBAT, MAGIC, FAITH, and INFLUENCE - define a character's capabilities. Players control which Talents to improve.
Dice Mechanics
Success or failure at a challenging action is determined by rolling 2d10 and adding the most relevant stat. Additionlly each die is a different color. One is associated with the character's HUBRIS, the other with their FAITH. The higher of the two determines whether the gods interfere and how.
