Sausal Creek December Storm
In 2014, during the recent drought, one early storm dominated the rain season. The schools closed in anticipation of a flood so I took the day off from work, and head out with the boys in raingear. Once they were back inside drinking hot chocolate with mama, I went out to take pictures.
I love the WPA stamps on the old walls. I can see time passing as the concrete slowly crumbles each year. There's an old piece of steel stuck in the embankment near this wall that was there when I was a child. Each season its at a slightly different angle as the bank slowly erodes into the channel.
